Advanced Research Review recognises publication ethics as an essential component of responsible academic publishing. The journal expects authors, editors, reviewers, and other participants in the publication process to follow principles of honesty, transparency, fairness, confidentiality, and accountability. These principles are intended to protect the integrity of scholarly communication and maintain the reliability of published research.
- Authors must submit original work, acknowledge sources, report findings accurately, ensure appropriate authorship and disclose relevant funding, conflicts of interest and ethical approvals.
- Editors should assess manuscripts objectively, maintain confidentiality and make decisions based on scholarly merit and the journal’s policies.
- Reviewers should provide impartial, constructive assessments, protect confidential information, disclose conflicts of interest and report suspected ethical concerns to the editorial team.
- Plagiarism, fabricated or falsified data, duplicate publication and inappropriate authorship are unacceptable. Substantiated misconduct may result in rejection, correction, retraction or other appropriate action.
- Research involving human participants, animals or sensitive personal information must comply with applicable ethical requirements. Authors should provide relevant ethical approval and informed-consent statements where applicable.
- The journal should maintain transparent procedures for correcting errors and addressing unreliable or ethically problematic publications. Corrections, expressions of concern and retractions should be documented and linked to the original article where appropriate.
